ARC Group is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager on behalf of our client, a well-known CPA firm in Atlanta, GA. This hybrid role requires at least 2 days per week in the office or at a client site. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in corporate tax management and ASC 740 income tax accounting, along with proven experience supporting large, multi-state, national, or global companies.

Position Overview

As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will play a key role within the Corporate Tax Solutions team, focusing on business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 tax provision preparation or audit support. You will manage multiple client engagements, lead teams, and collaborate with specialists across the firm to deliver high-quality solutions. From day one, you'll be supported with cutting-edge tools, training, and a collaborative environment to help you succeed.

Responsibilities of the Tax Manager:

• Lead client engagements from start to finish, including planning, execution, budget management, and final delivery.

• Supervise, mentor, and train associates, seniors, and interns; provide performance feedback and serve as in-charge on projects when needed.

• Review corporate tax returns and identify tax savings opportunities.

• Conduct ASC 740 income tax provision reviews and provide audit support.

• Research complex tax issues and provide consultative insights.

• Respond to inquiries from federal, state, and local tax authorities.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding operations, processes, and business objectives.

• Identify opportunities to expand services with existing and potential clients.

• Stay current through ongoing professional development and training.

Tax Manager Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Active CPA license (Georgia) or JD with active law license.

• Significant corporate tax compliance and ASC 740 provision experience (preparation, review, and audit).

• Recent public accounting experience.

• Strong background in corporate tax for large, multi-state/national/global companies.

• Ability to work hybrid: minimum 2 days per week in-office or on client site.

Preferred Qualifications for the Tax Manager:

• Professional services industry experience.

• Exposure to industries such as manufacturing, technology, pharma, food & beverage, consulting, engineering, telecommunications, or transportation & distribution.
