Project Manager 2
- Project Manager - Plant Asset Data, responsible for leading projects to improve management and integrity of generation assets.
- Works within the Operations Data team to manage plant-specific asset and data remediation projects.
- Acts as the central point of contact across engineering, operations, supply chain, asset management, technology, and vendors.
- Requires experience in heavy industrial environments, preferably within the utility industry.
Project Coordination & Implementation:
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of project activities to meet objectives and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee transition from current asset data models to standardized models.
- Support end-user training, adoption, and change management initiatives.
- Improve asset data accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Enhance data usability and accessibility across business units.
- Establish strong data management and governance using technology.
- Develop and implement data strategy including governance, controls, and remediation.
- Assess existing asset data models and related systems.
- Identify and document business requirements for a unified asset data model.
- Develop standardized asset data model aligned with industry practices.
- Gather and document stakeholder inputs across departments.
- Establish data governance policies, procedures, and roles.
- Execute transition plan and oversee implementation of new model.
- Provide training, communication, and support for adoption of new processes and tools.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in power plant, power delivery, or heavy industrial environment.
- Minimum 3 years of project management or similar experience.
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (preferred).
- PMP certification (preferred).
- Mechanical and/or Electrical design experience (preferred).
- CAD Developer Certification (preferred).
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage complex projects and stakeholders.
- Understanding of power plant and utility systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong documentation and organizational abilities.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Teams, Project).
- Strong customer focus and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrates values of Safety First, Inclusion, Integrity, and Performance.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Based in Atlanta, GA.
- Requires travel, including day and overnight trips (up to 50%).
