Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Augusta, Georgia. This Neuro/Stroke PCU supports cardiac, respiratory, and mixed medical patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring and titration of cardiac drips in a true high-acuity stepdown environment. POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is ideal for PCU nurses with strong telemetry, stroke, and cardiac drip experience who are comfortable managing higher-acuity patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 (19:00–07:30)
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within facility/scope as needed
• 36-bed PCU unit (avg census ~30)
• No call required COMPENSATION

• Neuro and stroke patient population
• Continuous telemetry monitoring
• Cardiac drip titration
• Respiratory and mixed acuity patients
• High-acuity stepdown care UNIT HIGHLIGHTS
• True PCU-level acuity (not Med-Surg disguised)
• 1:4 ratios
• 36-bed unit
• Strong stroke and cardiac exposure Requirements:
• Active Georgia RN license or Compact license REQUIRED at submission
• Minimum 1 year recent PCU/Stepdown experience REQUIRED
• ACLS REQUIRED
• BLS REQUIRED
• NIHSS REQUIRED
• Must be comfortable titrating cardiac drips REQUIRED
• RTO (Max 7 days) must be listed at submission
