HAVER & BOECKER USA is seeking skilled Field Service Technicians with previous experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and the installation of robotic palletizing systems.

In this role, you will provide customer support by performing preventive maintenance, service, installation, commissioning, training, and consultation at various customer locations throughout the United States.

To do well in this role you should be flexible, have advanced electrical, controls, automation and PLC skills.

This position requires excessive travel, mainly throughout the United States. Occasional international travel is possible.

Responsibilities:

• Installation and repair of equipment at customer facility
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting of equipment
• Conduct inspection visits and purchase service and installation materials if required
• Perform service procedures within the scheduled time
• Conduct customer and end-user on-site training
• Read and interpret electrical documentation, hardware drawings and program terms for troubleshooting
• Read and comprehend plant drawings and layouts
• Assist in the assembly department if required
• Prepare service reports and complete and submit all service documentation according to company guidelines
• Work with an international team including affiliate companies
• Perform all work in compliance with safety standards and guidelines

Your profile:

• Experience with programming / controls of Robotic Palletizing systems (specifically Fanuc), programming and PLC integration.
• Advanced knowledge of PLC’s, touch panels Allen Bradley (Studio 5000 and Panel View), Siemens (Tia Portal) is preferred.
• Technical degree (preferred) with a minimum of 2 years experience
• Advanced technical skills
• Computer skills (MS Office, SAP)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work under minimal supervision
• A high level of detail and accuracy
• Service-oriented
