Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License in GA or Compact License Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS Required, NIHSS Preferred Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry unit - Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration - Proficient with Epic charting system Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a telemetry unit focused on adult to geriatric patient populations. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, chest pain, and dysrhythmias. Nurses will monitor patients pre- and post-catheterization, manage dysrhythmias, and uphold isolation precautions. Patient ratio is approximately 1 nurse for every 4 to 5 patients, with an average daily census of 35. Successful candidates will demonstrate skills such as telemetry monitoring and management of fluid and blood product administration. Incumbent will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams. Adherence to hospital policies and protocols is mandatory. Floating within the facility may be required based on patient care needs. Nurses should be prepared to handle critical situations and assist in emergency responses. Willingness to work weekends and major holidays may be necessary as part of the commitment to patient care. Compliance with facility requirements and onboarding processes is essential prior to starting the position.
