Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU - 3731
Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU
Location: Plano, TX, 75093
Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
(Includes rotating weekends and holidays as needed)
Duration: Full-Time, Permanent Position
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Range: $36/hr - $45.11 per hour on a W2 Responsibilities:
Provide advanced respiratory therapy during neonatal and pediatric transports, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, intubation, and invasive/non-invasive ventilation
Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency interventions as needed
Review physician orders, assess diagnostics, and follow approved respiratory protocols
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary transport team to deliver coordinated and effective care
Accurately document treatments, therapies, equipment use, and supply charges
Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of transport care standards and procedures
Maintain compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and safety regulations
Exhibit strong clinical judgment and calm decision-making in urgent, mobile care settings Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy – Required
Experience with neonatal and/or pediatric care or transport services – Preferred
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and pass a functional capacity exam
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
Competence with electronic medical records and mobile documentation tools Education:
Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or 2 additional years of related experience – Required Certifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – from NBRC
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) – Licensed in the State of Texas
Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) – Required upon hire or within 1 year
Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Required
COVID-19 Vaccination – Required per facility policy (Medical and religious exemptions accepted).
