Job Summary:
Supervision of assigned manufacturing personnel and operations, assuring that quality, safety, productivity, schedule and delivery goals are met on a daily basis. Ensure production employees have the necessary training, tools and equipment to perform a quality job within allotted time periods.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• To support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company.

• While performing any procedure, all associates must observe applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines. The use of appropriate personal protective equipment is required.

• Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.

• Adhere to appropriate the company's operating procedures, benefit rules, employment, and safety policies/practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure manpower is at optimum levels, including vacation scheduling, and adjust schedule as necessary in case of material or people shortages. Ensure that production is taking place in a timely and orderly fashion.

• Be fair and consistent when dealing with all people, policies, contract, discipline, etc. and treat people with respect.

• Train and develop subordinates; mediate conflicts (listen, coach, mentor.) quality standards, production processes. Lead and participate in problem solving meetings.

• Ensure a safe working environment, and that employees are using safe working methods. Knowledge and communication of all emergency procedures, housekeeping requirements

• Maintain operational knowledge of machines, systems, tools, and ability to advise, set up and make adjustments as necessary. Be able to operate a major piece of equipment in times of need. Monitor maintenance needs.

• Carries out assigned functions described in Policies, Procedures, and Quality Manuals.

• Make recommendations, plans and suggestions that promote continuous improvement throughout the organization.

• Be able to make quality, scheduling, and production planning decisions as needed.

Competencies/Specific Experience or Training Preferred:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Education and Experience

• Associates degree or equivalent experience with an overall knowledge of quality, safety and manufacturing disciplines helpful. Must be able to work in a team environment.

• 3-5 years of 'hands-on' experience in a printing press or plastics production environment.

• At least three years of experience in a lead or supervisory position.

• PC literate. Experienced with use of MS Office products such as Word, Excel.

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Familiarity with one or more of: ISO, FSSC22000, TPM, Six sigma, 5S

• Equipment and Applications

• Standard office equipment such as word processors, phones, fax, etc.

• Manufacturing equipment associated with Plan operations as required

• A valid driver's license compliant with Company motor vehicle policy and subject to annual MVR checks
