We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Div. 8 & 10 Accountant - Sales Tax Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on assisting our Division 08 (Doors, Frames, Hardware) and Division 10 (Specialties, including Toilet Partitions, Toilet Accessories, and Safety Accessories) departments.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist with projects while gaining real-world exposure to daily activities as a part of a broader accounting team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain multistate compliance with sales and use tax laws.
• Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns for multiple states.
• Monitor and coordinate the monthly billing process for internal and external customers.
• Monitor AR status on all outstanding payments, post AR receipts, email collection reminder notices for late payments as needed.
• Monthly journal entries, G/L account reconciliations and researching variances.
• Provide support for audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of multistate sales and use tax experience.
• Experience with sales tax regulations and researching changing laws with multistate municipalities.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal & written.
• Ability to prioritize work to maximize efficiency.
• Capable of handling multiple projects while working independently, with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Maintain the required level of confidentiality.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista a plus.
