Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the successful development and implementation of Profile Products Manufacturing operational plans for one of our manufacturing facilities. The position fosters and promotes our Safety first and Customer first culture and manages our manufacturing facilities in accordance with company values and objectives. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining world class manufacturing facilities, reducing manufacturing costs, optimizing inventory utilization, promoting a LEAN culture, effectively managing operations and maximizing profitability.
Operations/Production Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Assist Plant Manager with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
- Review production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
- Ensure a healthy and safer working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
- Identify and share training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
- Organize departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
- Work with Plant Manager to develop operating budget.
- Deliver progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
- Supervise equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout.
- Oversee and participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of employees
- Oversee schedules and assignments for the division.
- Ensure completion of employee performance evaluations.
- Administer discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Company policies.
- Assist in the procurement or raw materials, especially paper.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field; master's degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years’ manufacturing experience, with specific expertise in process, safety, quality, and plant management

Operations/Production Manager Language Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred

- The employee is regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay, and squat, to maintain equipment
- This position wears common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats.
- Possess the ability to fulfill and any all-office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer entry, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.)
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.
- May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
- The individual possesses fine hand manipulation (keyboarding) skills.
