Position Overview
The Delivery Manager role leads a technical team responsible for the successful implementation, reconfiguration, or enablement of “business systems” (non-ERP solutions) impacted by an enterprise-wide SAP rollout.
This role involves assessing the readiness of Operating Companies scheduled for upcoming rollouts, inventorying their applications, and identifying any incompatibilities or required process changes. Where gaps are identified the Delivery Manager collaborates with Product Managers, Solutions Engineers, and Developers to resolve functional gaps and integration issues.
During each rollout, the Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of all phases of business systems delivery, including application build, data loading, testing, deployment, cutover coordination, and post go-live hyper-care support.
This position requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, along with experience in project and resource management. The Delivery Manager will ensure that their project plans are aligned with, and part of, the SAP rollout integrated project plan and that the team provides regular status update.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Lead a team responsible for managing business systems (non-SAP applications) impacted by the SAP rollout.
- Assess the readiness of Operating Companies scheduled for upcoming rollouts.
- Inventory and evaluate existing business systems to identify SAP incompatibilities or required process changes.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Solutions Engineers, and Developers to resolve functional and technical gaps and integration issues.
- Oversee the design, build, and testing of updated or rebuilt business systems.
- Coordinate data loading, deployment, and cutover activities to ensure smooth transitions.
- Manage post go-live hyper-care support to stabilize systems and address issues.
- Align delivery plans with the integrated SAP rollout project plan.
- Provide regular status updates and ensure transparency with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Ensure minimal disruption to business operations by proactively managing dependencies and risks.
- Work with Organizational Change Management and Training teams to create training materials and execute training plan.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in IT project or program management, with a strong focus on enterprise application delivery.
- Proven experience leading delivery teams through complex ERP rollouts, preferably SAP, including legacy system integration and cutover planning.
- Strong background in managing applications in large-scale transformation programs.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with Product Managers, Developers, and Solutions Engineers.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools for backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
- Track record of managing full delivery lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, cutover, and hyper-care.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience reporting to senior leadership.
Work Requirements
- 10 years of IT or Project Management
- 5+ years experience Business Process Change with Financial System impact
- 5+ years experience with continuous improvement of Information Technology General Controls and or SOX controls.
- Scrum or Agile qualifications are essential
- Proven track record of delivering Projects in complex software & infrastructure
- Exposure to cloud computing and migration to the cloud would be advantageous
- Ability to travel up to 50%

- Ability to interface and communicate effectively with non-technical personnel, administrative users, staff, as well as professional Information Technology Staff
- Ability to work in a multi priority environment.
- Exceptional Stakeholder Engagement and Communications skills, with the ability to explain complex technical challenges in a simple and effective manner
- Ensure that engagements are managed to completion and customer satisfaction remains high
- Must be able to build and motivate high performing teams, leveraging their talents to deliver significant projects successfully
- Strong analytical skills needed to identify technical dependencies, risks, issues and constraints
- Able to lead and motivate others and guide them to solve problems
- Work well under time pressures, agility in dealing with changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Demonstrate senior principles, leading by example in terms of work ethic and professional attitude
- Team player, who strives to maximize team and departmental performance
