Role Overview

Our client team is building a mobile product with embedded intelligence capabilities, and we're seeking a senior quality engineering leader to establish our testing discipline from the ground up. In this strategic role, you will architect and implement the quality engineering strategy across our API, data, and mobile layers—defining testing methodologies, building automation frameworks, and setting the technical standards that will scale with the platform.

This is a new opportunity to shape quality practices for an AI-enhanced mobile product from inception. You'll work closely with engineering and product leadership to drive testing excellence across the full technology stack.

What You’ll Drive

• Architect the quality engineering strategy for a greenfield mobile platform with embedded intelligence, defining testing approaches across API, data validation, and mobile experiences.
• Establish and champion quality standards and best practices that will serve as the foundation for the product team.
• Design and build comprehensive automation frameworks spanning API and UI layers, creating scalable solutions that accelerate delivery without compromising quality.
• Lead technical collaboration with engineering and product teams to embed quality thinking throughout the development lifecycle.
• Own data integrity and API validation strategies, ensuring robust backend systems that power intelligent mobile experiences.
• Define and implement testing methodologies for mobile applications, balancing automated and exploratory approaches.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years driving quality engineering initiatives with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Deep expertise in API testing architectures and modern tooling (Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent).
• Proven ability to architect data validation strategies for complex backend systems.
• Strong foundation in mobile and web application quality practices.
• Advanced proficiency with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
• Exceptional technical communication skills with ability to influence engineering and product stakeholders.
• Track record of establishing testing best practices in fast‑moving, evolving environments.
