BOOKKEEPER-ACCOUTING CLERK
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Major responsibilities - Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing - General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and - Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes - Rectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Requirements
- Preferably accounting experience in Quickbooks software
- Detail-oriented
- Accurate
- Strong analytical skills
- Research/Forensic abilities
- Strong Reconciliation experience and/or billing/collections experience a must
- Working with invoices and spreadsheets.
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
- Completes payment set up and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
- Reconcile vendor statement monthly
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Assisting with audit support as necessary.
- Assisting in streamlining the accounts payable process.
- Working with account receivable clerk and others to resolve account issues when necessary.
- Bill clients for overages and keep updated on a tracking excel worksheet
Qualifications
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Advanced abilities with Excel.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks beyond general accounting.
- Be well versed with the organizational and industrial accounting standards
- Be skilled in the accounting applications and reconciliation of accounts
- Be excellent in communication and coordination. Also in maintaining excellent working relationships with the staff, vendors, clients and other public
- Be skilled in using the most advanced accounts payable automation applications
