Vendor Support Manager Location Atlanta, GA :

The Georgia Department of Revenue seeks to fill a Vendor Support Manager position in the Taxpayer Services Division (TSD). Reporting to the Division Support Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing four major functions within the Division:

  • Creating, developing, and updating tax forms, forms specifications, and DOR guides
  • Certifying tax software providers paper and electronic test submissions for approval
  • Supporting external payroll providers electronic file formats for the Federal/State Employment Taxes (FSET) program
  • Coordinating with internal DOR stakeholders to ensure the form and return requirements are documented accurately for forms and system development.

The position manages a team of business analysts and a front-end developer who partners with several internal departments and external providers to ensure paper and electronic returns are processed efficiently within the department's tax system.

This role requires solid interpersonal & team-building skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, time management, project management, and effective problem resolution techniques for assisting in negotiating issues of a sensitive and complex nature.

Entry Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field AND three years' experience managing professional level staff

~ OR Seven years of related professional experience AND three years managing at the level equivalent area of assignment

~ OR Three years of experience at the lower-level Mgr., Business Ops (GSM010) or position equivalent

NOTE: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience, and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work with others to lead and affect process changes and improvements.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, AND Word
  • Experience with forms and booklet design using software design applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Experience in the testing process to verify information meets the defined standards such as content, field validation, placement, and scanner readability
  • Experience using Key Performance Indicators to improve performance

Position Status & Pay Grade: Unclassified -Pay Grade M Hiring Range : $53,310.72 - $78,350 State Personnel Board Rules for current State Employees 478-1-.12 Salary 478-1-.15 Changes to Employment Status

Location: This vacancy allows for work out of two Department of Revenue locations:

  • Agency Headquarters: 1800 Century Blvd NE, Atlanta GA 30345
  • South Metro: 4125 Welcome All Rd, Atlanta GA 30349
  • Office hours of 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday will be required. A telework option is contingent upon demonstrated proficiency after training and is subject to change based on DOR policies and ability to meet performance expectations.
