Senior WebSphere Commerce Developer
Kforce has a client seeking a remote Senior WebSphere Commerce Developer to join their team. The client is seeking a Senior WebSphere Commerce Developer with 7+ years of enterprise application development experience to design, enhance, and support their B2B eCommerce platform. This role plays a critical part in delivering scalable, high-performance commerce solutions supporting complex catalogs, contract pricing, and high transaction volumes. The ideal candidate brings deep IBM WebSphere Commerce/HCL Commerce expertise, strong Java/J2EE fundamentals, and experience working within large, integrated enterprise ecosystems. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise solutions using IBM WebSphere Commerce
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and service-oriented integrations
- Develop using Java, SpringBoot
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices
- Support platform upgrades and modernization initiatives (WCS/HCL Commerce)
- Catalog and product management
- Pricing, contracts, and promotions
- Order processing and fulfillment
- Member, role, and entitlement management
* SAP ERP
- OMS, PIM, payment providers, and third-party services
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- 4+ years of hands-on IBM WebSphere Commerce (v7, v8, or v9/HCL Commerce)
- Strong expertise in Java/J2EE enterprise development
- Strong Linux/Unix experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Maven, Jenkins, Git)
- WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
- REST APIs and Web Services
- SQL and relational databases (DB2, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Contract and customer-specific pricing
- Large SKU catalogs
- Account-based purchasing models
