Overview
Occupational Therapist – Acute Care in Cumming, GA. Start date 04/20/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $1,883–$1,982 per week with guaranteed 40 hours. Shift is 8-hour days, 5 days per week (8x5) with 4 weekends every 4 weeks and holiday requirements. Acute care OT department coverage across a broad hospital caseload, including ICU, stroke/neurology, ortho, and general debility, with Cerner/One Chart charting.

Responsibilities
- Conduct OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for acute care patients based on physician orders
- Implement therapeutic interventions across a wide range of diagnoses, including ICU, neurological/stroke, orthopedic, and debility cases
- Reassess and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and communicate with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide patient and family education on therapy goals, safety, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner/One Chart system and ensure compliance with hospital policies
- Support continuity of care across shifts and participate in daily rounding as part of the care team

Requirements
- Active Georgia Occupational Therapy license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care/related specialty
- Experience with Cerner/One Chart or similar electronic health record
- Ability to work in a hospital acute care setting with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses
- Availability to work a schedule including weekends and holidays as required
