Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of landscape maintenance and enhancement services across all assigned properties. This role bridges field operations and client service by supporting crews, collaborating with Account Managers, and maintaining Piedmont Landscape Management’s high-quality standards. The Operations Manager provides leadership, develops team members, manages resources, and ensures adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all company safety policies and ensure PPE use at all times.
- Monitor safety during morning dispatch, field visits, and end-of-day returns.
- Conduct safety inspections of vehicles, trailers, and job sites.
- Lead or participate in safety training and tailgate meetings.
Crew Leadership & Development
- Manage daily morning dispatch (6:30 a.m.) ensuring crews have supplies, PPE, and instructions.
- Take attendance, adjust schedules for absences, and allocate manpower effectively.
- Coach and train Crew Leaders and crew members on best practices for landscaping, equipment use, and quality standards.
- Conduct onboarding for new foreman and crew members.
Scheduling & Production
- Build and manage weekly crew schedules for maintenance and enhancements.
- Adjust routes for efficiency based on work changes, weather, and labor availability.
- Use BOSSlm and other tools to track labor hours and productivity daily.
- Ensure crews leave the yard on time and return no earlier than 4:00 p.m. without valid reason. (Orlando arrives at 3:30 to work on equipment)
Quality Control
- Visit job sites daily to evaluate safety, quality, and productivity.
- Monthly- Inspect turf, plants, shrubs, and trees; address issues directly or assign follow-up.
- Partner with Account Managers to resolve client concerns quickly and effectively.
- Lead property attack plan development for large or complex sites.
Equipment Management
- Allocate trucks, trailers, and equipment based on job needs.
- Oversee equipment condition, maintenance schedules, and repairs in coordination with mobile mechanic and in house mechanic
- Track inventory of production tools and materials; maintain readiness for all crews.
Client Interaction Support
- Engage with clients when encountered on site; document conversations and relay to Account Managers.
Administrative & Reporting
- Submit accurate crew time, route sheets, and production data daily.
- Review BOSSlm and labor efficiency reports for trends and improvements.
- Use Fleetr to monitor vehicles and promote safe driving behaviors.
- Participate in end-of-day and weekly planning meetings with the management team.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and operating landscape equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.
