About The Role : This role focuses on building robust, scalable software solutions with a strong emphasis on API development and integration. You'll contribute to development efforts across our technology stack, designing and supporting APIs that power our platform. While AI expertise isn't required, you should have genuine curiosity about AI/ML technologies and a desire to grow in this direction as our AI capabilities expand.
The Software Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager and work closely with the Engineering team and other technology leaders to ensure that existing and new solutions follow best practices and are highly performant.Key Responsibilities:
Software Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET
- Ensure APIs are secure, well-documented, scalable, and performant
- Implement proper API versioning, error handling, and monitoring
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into our platform
- Contribute to full-stack software development using .NET, SQL, React/Typescript, and Python
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and architectural alignment for cross-functional teams
- Perform hands-on coding for high-impact, complex system components
- Engage and mentor in code reviews and architecture sessions with team members
- Work closely with Product and Design to deliver scalable, performant features
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues with AI or application layers
- Champion Agile principles, DevOps, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Show enthusiasm for learning about AI/ML technologies and their applications
- Collaborate with team members on AI-powered features as opportunities arise
- Stay curious about emerging technologies and how they can enhance our products
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years in software engineering
- Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services
- Proficiency in .NET, SQL, and modern web technologies (React/TypeScript)
- Working knowledge of Python is a plus
- Demonstrated passion for AI/ML technologies and eagerness to develop expertise in this area
- Embody Extreme Ownership principles, as outlined by Jocko Willink, by taking full responsibility for your work, proactively tackling challenges, and contributing to team success with discipline and accountability
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, and cloud-native architecture a strong plus
- Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI) preferred
