Summary of Job Duties:

The Walton College Undergraduate Programs Graduate Assistants responsibilities include teaching multiple sections of Freshmen Business Connections (FBC) the colleges first year experience course; assisting in development and implementation of special programs targeted to student populations including freshmen and students at-risk for academic warning suspension and dismissal; assisting with recruiting programs for prospective business students and their families and having a strong working relationship with faculty staff and students in the Walton College and with various departments and divisions within the University of Arkansas.

Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education

• Current UA student enrolled in a graduate program

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with academic advising

• Experience with teaching or as a teaching assistant ideally in higher education

• Attention to detail

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
