JOB TITLE: Aircraft Upholstery Technician I - 2nd Shift

LOCATION: Savannah, GA

PAY RATE: $23.31/hour

Summary:

• Fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and create simple patterns for aircraft interiors in accordance with design drawings and aircraft specifications.

• Perform upholstery tasks according to design, customer, FAA, and specifications, following work order instructions and quality standards

• Fit and install panels, cabin headliners, upper/lower sidewalls, hatch panels, and windows; cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, fabricate metal parts, and install finished panels

• Create and install carpet patterns per design drawings

• Use the material tracking system to request parts, track discrepancies, and sign off completed work

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Entry-level position

• Experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, and/or hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades preferred

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents

• Skilled in using measuring tools and performing basic math

• Basic computer literacy required

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
