Job Title: Registered Nurse – CVICU
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Shift: Days Only (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

• Base Pay Range: $27.72/hr (entry level) to $39.60/hr (15+ years of experience)

• Specialty Differential: $1.50/hr

• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Days)

• Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 (case-by-case)

The CVICU Registered Nurse provides advanced, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex clinical interventions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, independence, and effective collaboration within a highly specialized critical care environment.

• Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in a CVICU setting

• Perform frequent patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition

• Advocate for patients and families while maintaining privacy, dignity, and confidentiality

• Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and recovery plans

• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

• Demonstrate accountability for quality outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent (within the past 3 years) acute care experience as an ER, ICU, or CVICU RN

  • PCU/IMCU experience considered with 2+ years of experience

• Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license

  • Compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation

• Certifications:

  • BLS (required)

  • ACLS (required within 6 months of hire)

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 30 days of hire

• BSN

• CCRN certification (required within 2 years if not currently held)

• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills
