SMT Machine Operator

We are actively seeking an SMT operator. We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience working in a PCB assembly environment and the ability to adapt to new machines. Previous experience with Yamaha machines is preferred but optional. IPC-certified solder is a plus. Responsibilities

Qualified candidates must be able to operate Surface Mount Technology
advanced placement machines. Change out feeders and identify components per
work instructions: Troubleshoot and correct problems.
 Be capable of identifying different electronic component types, including value
and polarity.
 Be capable of obtaining certifications in soldering. Having a current certification is
preferred.
 One-year minimum experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
 Able to stand, lift, bend, twist, reach, and follow instructions provided by the
supervisor.
 Have attention to detail and the ability to work well with others.
 Experience with improving SMT manufacturing process steps.
 Taking the initiative to get the equipment operations area up and running if it is
the first to arrive.
 Coordinating with other Machine Operators in order to streamline the entire PCB
assembly process.
 Soldering of PTH (Pin/Plated through-hole) components on the initial article to
allow for testing.
 Be capable of identifying different electronic component types, including value
and polarity.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working weekends

Skills

• Electronic PD Board Builds (2 years of experience is required)
• Electronic Machine Operation (2 years of experience is required)
