Phlebotomy Tech I/Courier- Archbold Grady Hospital

Support Full Time Evening Shift 11a-7p

Description:

Correctly performs patient identification venipuncture/capillary collection technique and specimen labeling. Performs specimen processing functions accurately and efficiently. Correctly performs special phlebotomy procedures. Demonstrates initiative and leadership qualities. Compliance with Laboratory Safety Policies & Procedures. Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the hospital and laboratory computer systems.

Experience/Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Current drivers license with no major driving citations and able to be covered under AMC auto insurance required. Certification in Phlebotomy by ASCP (or other nationally recognized certification agency) or completion of AS degree in Medical Laboratory Technician program preferred. At least one year phlebotomy experience preferred.
