Job Title: Low Voltage Electrician ApprenticeJob Description

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Low Voltage Electrician Apprentice to join our fire/security systems team. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to build a career in the low voltage electrical trade, with a focus on fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn the fundamentals of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and other low voltage systems, including security and access control.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Pull, label, and terminate low voltage wiring and cabling under supervision.
• Support the setup and configuration of fire alarm control panels and devices.
• Help perform inspections to ensure systems meet local codes and standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing system faults and malfunctions.
• Work alongside project managers, general contractors, and other trades on job sites.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Provide courteous and professional communication with clients and team members.

Essential Skills

• Interest in electrical work and fire alarm systems.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Basic hand tool knowledge; ability to provide own tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability and willingness to learn and grow in the field.
• Experience with low voltage installation, conduit, schematics, cabling, power tools, and wire pulling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces.
• Capable of working in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Savannah, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
