A registered nurse with med/surg and telemetry expertise is needed for a contract assignment in Bonaire, GA. This opportunity offers a dynamic environment in a Level 1 Trauma Designation teaching hospital with advanced stroke and chest pain centers. The position involves providing high-quality care across multiple inpatient medical-surgical and telemetry units, supporting diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients on medical-surgical and telemetry units with 20-36 beds each
• Manage complex cardiac drips, including insulin and heparin, with proficiency in all cardiac drip protocols
• Perform technical skills such as tracheostomy care, chest tube management, peripheral IV starts, and glucometer use
• Collaborate with CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, and support teams including respiratory therapists and hospitalists
• Float to different Med/Tele units as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability in patient care assignments
• Utilize EPIC EMR system and operate medical technologies including Alariso IV pumps and Phillip monitors
• Complete a thorough orientation including educational modules and departmental training.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (travelers will complete EKG competency on boarding)
• Certification in medical-surgical nursing is advantageous
• Strong proficiency in cardiac drips and telemetry patient management
• Ability to work within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Additional Details:

• Float pool position within multiple Med/Tele units
• Assignments typically require 1-day general and 2-day departmental orientations
• Navy scrubs for RNs; complimentary parking available on campus
• Patient care ratios: RN 1:4-6, LPN 1:4-6, CNA up to 1:14
