Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a med-surg/oncology unit, including assessment and monitoring of condition and response to treatment.
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies, monitor for adverse reactions, and document administration accurately.
- Monitor vital signs, interpret lab results, manage symptoms, and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, case managers, and other members of the care team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
- Maintain thorough, accurate charting in the electronic medical record and ensure documentation supports safe discharge planning.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, symptom management, safety, and when to seek medical attention.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience within the Med-Surg/Oncology specialty.
- Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS required.
- Active RN license in good standing.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital med-surg/oncology setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills.
