Position Overview
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for receiving, verifying, organizing, and delivering materials to the production floor with complete accuracy and timeliness. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations, as every kit and part must be correct before reaching the production team. Attention to detail, accountability, and consistency are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and stage kit carts with all required parts and materials based on build orders
• Verify all components for accuracy before releasing to production
• Deliver materials to the production floor on schedule to support continuous workflow
• Communicate proactively regarding shortages, damaged goods, or delays
• Receive incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders and packing slips
• Accurately store materials in designated locations
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy at all times
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment following 5S principles
• Assist with outbound shipping, packaging, and logistics
• Complete all inventory and shipping documentation accurately and on time
• Identify process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
• Experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials handling
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast paced, production driven environment
• Basic computer skills including data entry and inventory systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow processes consistently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Experience with forklifts or willingness to become certified
Preferred Experience
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems
• Understanding of lean principles and 5S methodology
• Experience reading bills of materials or parts lists
