Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. Start date 06/01/2026 for 8 weeks, with weekly pay $1,564–$1,673 and 36 guaranteed hours. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a busy ED, including initial triage, focused assessment, stabilization, and treatment planning for acute and trauma patients.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications as ordered, establish IV access, and assist with diagnostics, including labs and imaging.
- Coordinate care with the ED team (physicians, APPs, respiratory, and ancillary staff) to prioritize patient flow and ensure timely throughput.
- Manage boarder patients and be prepared to float to related units (med/surg, step-down, ICU) as needed to support patient care.
- Maintain documentation in the electronic medical record, ensure accuracy of clinical notes, and uphold patient safety standards per BLS, ACLS, and TNCC guidelines.
- Communicate clearly with patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and transfer decisions; participate in huddles and handoffs.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a similar-sized Level 1 trauma facility.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED float pool environment; may be asked to float to acute units (med/surg, step-down, ICU) as necessary.
- Resume with no gaps, ED skills checklist, and ED references; ability to provide these materials if requested.
