Director of Operations
About the Opportunity
Our client is a respected, values-driven professional services organization headquartered in Columbus, GA. They are dedicated to improving lives through compassionate, high-quality service delivery and maintaining a culture built on diligence, integrity, and accountability. As the firm continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced operations leader to help streamline workflows, strengthen team performance, and drive organizational excellence.
Position Summary
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in structure, process, and people development. You will oversee daily business operations, drive efficiency across departments, and mentor a team of 10–15 administrative and support professionals. Working closely with firm leadership, you’ll set performance metrics, improve systems, and ensure smooth coordination between attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
A background in legal, medical, banking, or other professional office environments will translate well in this role. Candidates who excel in accountability, communication, and leadership — and who aspire to a COO-level position in the coming years — are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily business operations across intake, case management, billing, and administrative functions
- Define and track KPIs to ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Drive hiring, training, and performance management across all support teams
- Create clear accountability structures and address performance gaps proactively
- Implement technology and process improvements to increase efficiency
- Lead and mentor 10–15 team members across multiple departments
- Collaborate with firm leadership on expense reporting, systems, and process improvements
- Foster a culture of diligence, compassion, and integrity
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in operations, HR, or office management roles
- Strong leadership and people management skills; proven ability to build and motivate teams
- Proven record of improving workflows, systems, and team performance
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in a legal, medical, banking, or other professional service environment preferred
- Ability to work onsite in Columbus, GA (Monday–Friday)
