Construction Project Manager
Forza Group is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our team in Peachtree City, GA. We are looking for experienced and technically knowledgeable individuals to complement our growing team.
Project Managers collaborate with clients, employees, and subcontractors to establish and achieve project objectives. They are responsible for data analysis, report creation and delivery, and supporting the construction team with various tasks to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate should be adept at maintaining team focus and keeping projects on schedule. Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the Project Superintendent.
- Review and comprehend technical and administrative documents, such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
- Create a list of material takeoffs to define quantities of work materials.
- Analyze projects before they start, accurately estimating costs related to labor, materials, equipment, and other relevant areas.
- Oversee daily operations, develop reports on materials and crew requirements, and analyze the financial success of potential projects.
- Determine work crews and production rates for the performance of required tasks.
- Break down the scope of work into definable tasks.
- Build effective relationships with skilled labor, subcontractors, and partners through strong communication skills.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Expertise in budgeting, strategic thinking, negotiating, organizing, and presenting findings, with the ability to effectively communicate with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
- Basic computer skills necessary for producing reports and communicating with colleagues.
- Strong leadership and delegation skills to identify the best person (or people) for a task, acting as a facilitator to motivate and direct the work.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks, ensuring projects are completed by deadlines and streamlining processes to maximize productivity.
- Effective decision-making skills to weigh the costs and benefits of various options and determine the best course of action to achieve company goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills to analyze past and current performance, recommending ideas to improve productivity and profitability.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Procore
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, or technical degree with equivalent working experience is preferred
- 5 years of proven success in running general construction projects
