Site Accountant
Description
Ridezilla Americus is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Site Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting functions and financial operations at our Americus, GA location. The Site Accountant plays a critical role in supporting dealership profitability by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and assisting management with financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management
- Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, inventory, and floorplan financing
- Monitor and track dealership expenses, identify discrepancies, and recommend cost-control strategies
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements to corporate office
- Assist with payroll processing and maintain employee records in coordination with HR
- Support the dealership's sales and service departments with financial documentation and analysis
- Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and accounting standards
- Work closely with the General Manager and corporate finance team to provide insights into financial performance
- Maintain accurate records for audits and internal reviews
- Contribute to inventory valuation processes and periodic physical counts
- Serve as liaison for external vendors, auditors, and finance contacts as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or dealership environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with CDK Global, Dealertrack, or similar DMS is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
