Purchasing Project Manager

Lead project execution of Purchasing Projects in NA for defined Commodities across multiple sites and within cross-functional teams. Those projects include Design Change, Resourcing or Make/Buy. Optimize & harmonize global and cross-functional processes for those cost optimization projects.
Your Impact:
Drive execution of Purchasing Projects in NA, this includes amongst others: Planning & prioritization with involved stakeholders (commodity teams, ENG, QUAL, LOG). Align validation needs together with Engineering. Organize Technical Review. Ensure Ordering Tooling, Samples, PPAP. phase in/phase out planning. Ensure financial validation (confirmation of savings achieved).
Generate new cost reduction ideas or drive idea validation.
Escalation and issue resolution.
Facilitate regular project progress meetings and update project documentation.
Drive Process Optimization & Standardization this could include. Optimizing roles & responsibilities within the resourcing or Design Change process.
Your Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or related major.
Strong background in Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain.
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with co-workers and vendors.
Proficiency in Word and Excel, which requires a detailed understanding of Excel spreadsheets.
Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, effective task prioritization, high organization, and excellent communication abilities.
