Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of adults with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and implement evidence-based interventions to improve communication, swallowing safety, and related cognitive skills.
- Document evaluations, therapy progress, goals, and discharge planning in the medical record; monitor patient outcomes and adjust plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, therapy colleagues, and support staff) to coordinate care and contribute to discharge planning.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid and other government regulations, HIPAA, and professional standards; maintain therapy licensure and mandatory certifications.
- Provide patient and family education, support adherence to treatment plans, and address functional goals to maximize daily communication and quality of life.

Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Georgia SLP license (state licensure required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- AHA BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience within the specialty
- Ability to work in an outpatient medical setting; travel assignment; 40 hours per week
