An established and growing Savannah restaurant group is seeking an experienced Senior Line Cook to join our culinary team.
This position is designed for a cook who has developed strong fundamentals, can confidently work multiple stations, and takes pride in executing at a high level during busy service.
We're particularly interested in individuals who want to continue developing their careers. For the right person, this position can provide a path toward Lead Line Cook, Sous Chef, and future kitchen leadership opportunities within our restaurant group.
What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is dependable, organized, professional, and passionate about becoming a better cook.
You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
Ideal candidates will have:
2+ years of experience in a quality full-service restaurant kitchen
Strong sauté, grill, fry, and/or pantry experience
Ability to confidently execute a station during high-volume service
Strong knife skills and culinary fundamentals
Understanding of proper cooking techniques, temperatures, seasoning, and presentation
Ability to follow recipes, specifications, and plating standards consistently
Strong organization and mise en place
Excellent sanitation and food-safety habits
Ability to communicate effectively with chefs and fellow cooks
Dependability and a strong sense of urgency
Willingness to learn additional stations and techniques
A team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes and standards
Maintain proper mise en place for assigned stations
Work multiple stations as needed
Maintain quality and consistency throughout service
Properly receive, label, rotate, store, and handle food
Assist with daily prep and production
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
Communicate shortages, quality concerns, and prep needs to kitchen leadership
Minimize waste and properly utilize ingredients
Assist newer cooks when appropriate
Participate in opening and closing responsibilities
Follow all food-safety and sanitation standards
Contribute positively to the culture and performance of the kitchen
