WHAT IS THE JOB?
As Supervisor, Receiving you will oversee all inbound vendor shipments and store transfers to the Distribution Center. You will ensure merchandise is handled efficiently and with an attention to detail that reflects Mashburn's dedication to service & style. You will lead the Team, monitor processes, and find ways to improve.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Supervise the daily receiving and putaway of goods shipped to the distribution center.
- Utilize the Shipping log and other tools to communicate with internal Teams about receiving
- Train new employees with a focus on nimbleness between roles and stations, with an emphasis on cross training so employees can assist in other departments as necessary.
- Monitor supply orders, organization and cleanliness of work areas.
- Strong communication with Production and Merchandising Teams for shipment priorities and exceptions.
- Instill rigor on the team to pay attention to detail and make every item special.
- Lead by example and help the Team achieve all goals.
- Consistently communicate metrics to Team & Management.
WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIALS?
- Experience
- 3-5 years of supervisory and management experience.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, ability to bounce back from interruptions.
- Habit of making methods and surroundings more productive and streamlined
- Technical
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Project Management and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Strong understanding of and desire to optimize and leverage relevant technologies (WMS, ERP, etc.).
- Organizational
- Strong organization skills with ability to synthesize information and catch missing pieces
- Comfortable with juggling multiple projects at once and reprioritizing as business needs shift
- Cleaniness of work environment.
- Physical
- Abilty to lift 30 pounds or more consistently, and work on one's feet all day.
- Relationships
- Passion for people, motivation, development and managing for results.
- Advanced and professional email etiquette, able to communicate needs succinctly.
- Strong cross departmental and external communication skills
