Territory Sales Manager-Southeast Region
Position Overview : The Territory Sales Manager is a key member of the Sales & Marketing team, responsible for driving growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with retail agencies. This role is focused on increasing brand visibility, promoting product knowledge, and supporting sales efforts in the field. The Territory Sales Manager will engage with agencies to enhance overall sales performance, resolve production barriers, and expand agency networks to contribute to the company's overall growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Agency Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with retail agencies through regular communication via phone, email, and in-person meetings, following a 30/60/90-day contact structure.
- Sales Strategy and Execution: Structure sales visits to maximize impact on quoting and sales outcomes, ensuring alignment with overall sales objectives.
- Agency Performance Reporting: Present sales and growth figures to agency owners and producers within the assigned distribution network.
- Agency Tiering & Strategy: Present and communicate agency tiering strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's distribution goals and objectives.
- Barrier Resolution: Proactively identify and address any production barriers within the agency distribution network, ensuring consistent and efficient performance.
- Prospecting & Territory Expansion: Actively prospect for new key agencies that can drive consistent production within the company's verticals. Work to expand the assigned territory through targeted prospecting efforts.
- Leadership Communication: Present detailed results from agency distribution, including production figures, prospecting goals, program improvement feedback, and industry competition insights, to senior leadership.
- T raining & Compliance: Lead training presentations for agencies, ensuring alignment with company products, services, and compliance standards.
- Monthly Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly wrap-up presentations to leadership, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement within the agency distribution network.
- Attend and Present at Trade Shows within the assigned territory
Region Specific Travel
This role will require the individual to travel within an assigned territory. Salary will include a vehicle allowance in calculations. Individual is responsible for providing their own transportation, but work-related gasoline will be covered by the company.
This specific role will be for the region defined as "Southeast" and will include Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. Changes could be made to this footprint in the future. Travel will include 3 days a week with agent producers and any applicable trade shows.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Sales/Marketing, Risk Management or relevant experience
Proven experience in sales, marketing, or agency management within a retail or distribution environment.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with agency owners and producers.
Solid understanding of sales strategies and production metrics.
Ability to identify opportunities for expansion and growth within assigned territories.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to overcoming barriers.
Experience in presenting complex information to leadership teams.
Familiarity with industry trends and competitive landscape.
Ability and means to handle assigned work travel within designated territory.
