Position: Accounting Associate
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent experience. Should also
have 2‐5 years of work experience with private or public company. Certified public accountant (CPA) or
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) a plus.
Must be self‐ motivated, multi‐tasker and the ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment.
Skills
Exemplary proficiency and excellence in accounting and auditing including the following:
Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (especially spreadsheet and word processing)
Proficient in audit workpaper documentation utilizing audit software
Proficient with QuickBooks
Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
Willingness to work flexible schedule during peak periods
Dependable and punctual
The ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to execute scheduled audits including planning, preparation, execution, reporting and
follow‐up
Develop audit scopes, including risk assessment and evaluation of internal controls
Demonstrate high standards of conduct and ethics
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to establish and build rapport with clients
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the design and implementation of audit processes, procedures and methodologies
Developing & monitoring customized audit program
Planning and performing financial, performance and compliance audits to ensure compliance
with applicable local, state and federal regulations, and generally accepted governmental audit
standards
Apply logic and critical thinking processes to identify the strength and weaknesses of alternative
solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Prepare Audit & Executive Summary Reports
Assist in bookkeeping/write‐up and the preparation of individual and business tax returns for
clients in various industries
Complete special projects and/ or ad‐hoc projects with minimal supervision and direction
Assist with general admin tasks (e.g., answering calls, filing, scanning, copying, running errands)
