Warehouse Clerk

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, and shipping machine parts to customers in a timely manner. This role ensures all outgoing shipments meet quality, safety, and documentation standards, supporting efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction within the manufacturing operation.

Essential Functions:

• Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Pick, pack, and prepare machine parts for shipment according to customer orders and company standards.
• Verify accuracy of shipping documents, labels, and part numbers to ensure correct and timely delivery.
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and efficiently as required.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling, storage, and recordkeeping.
• Abide by all workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to support smooth order fulfillment.

This job operates in a professional industrial environment that includes operating in manufacturing areas that are not climate controlled and in office areas. This role routinely involves standard office equipment and the ability to use a smart phone. The noise level in the work environment can be above normal levels requiring hearing protection. You will be exposed to fluctuation in temperatures.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Prior warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping systems, inventory software, or ERP systems a plus.

• Have the ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification desirable).
• Possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Have effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Be proficient in basic math.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required walk on concrete floors and stand for extended periods of time. In addition, there are times that the work is sedentary requiring the ability to sit at a computer or workstation to evaluate data. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms; lift push or pull objects up to 50 pounds. Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
