Recruiter & Retention Coordinator
Savannah Logistics Group has an immediate need for a CDL Driver Recruiter & Retention Coordinato r for our Minus Avenue location. The role oversees and optimize the performance of driver recruiting and retention. The RRC is entrusted with the responsibility of expanding the driver pool by devising effective marketing strategies, planning, recruitment activities, and organizing them efficiently. In addition, the RRC's primary focus is to promote and sell our diverse range of logistic solutions and related opportunities. Relocation Assistance available for the right candidate!

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Handle all recruiting calls and vet applicants.
- Initiate driver leads by networking, cold-calling prospects, and building relationships as part of a coordinated recruiting strategy.
- Work in collaboration with all departmental executives, directors, managers, and supervisors to meet recruiting and hiring objectives.
- Review leads through Tenstreet portal.
- Assist with improvement of Independent Contractor and Company Driver retention - promoting a positive business environment and becomes a source of guidance for drivers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with drivers through a variety of sources, electronically and face to face locally.
- Manage the necessary sourcing and advertising of openings.
- Research and identify best hiring market areas.
- Source candidates on job boards, resume databases, professional networks, and through referrals.
- Communicate with driver recruits on a regular basis updating them on their status.
- Driver retention and termination calls/exit interviews.
- Work closely with Contractor Generalist on available trucks that need to be seated, rented, etc.
- Coordinate with Contractor Generalist when scheduling orientation to ensure that drivers send in the appropriate paperwork and that when they arrive there will be no barriers to leasing them on.
- Answer all incoming phone calls to Big Rig Leasing.
- Promote and sell SLG's logistics services to a variety of manufacturers/customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and influencers inside key accounts,
- Develop and execute sales and marketing plans in support of current business and create targeted growth strategies to increase sales revenue and profitability.
- Create, maintain, and execute new sales plans, including target account prospects, sales cycle plans, project revenue, project decision dates, and project implementation/first service dates.
- Work closely with the Director of Leasing to drive sales programs with assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Logistics, Marketing, Procurement, Operations, and Credit teams to support assigned accounts.
- Take ownership of sales in the local market while building a national network of key distribution partners.
- Plan and execute market shops and develop detailed reporting and action plans.
- Continuously monitor competitive situations and develop and implement aggressive plans to defend and grow our market position.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in Driver Recruiting
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with all levels of staff and leadership, as well as with external clients and vendors.
- Must be able to work within a fast-paced team environment and prioritize tasks in the face of conflicting priorities.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Well-rounded communication skills, ability to express findings to others, ability to interact with vendors and clients .
- Must be an excellent multitasker who remains organized even when receiving data from various sources .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Travel possible.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, marketing & sales, or equivalent combination of education and related recruiting experience.
- Strong familiarity with recruiting and business practices and procedures.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Employee is required to sit approximately 50%, stand 25%, and walk 25% of work time.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
