Job Title: Maintenance Tech

Job Description

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will begin each day with a shift meeting to discuss the day's objectives. You will be tasked with completing a list of preventive maintenance tasks and will be responsible for promptly responding to calls from the production team. Each day, you will complete 3-4 preventive maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily shift meetings to discuss plans and tasks.
• Complete 3-4 preventive maintenance tasks each day.
• Respond promptly to production team calls.
• Perform maintenance on conveyors, bearings, shafts, and sprockets.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using a multimeter and work with 480v motors.
• Understand and work with PLCs and VFDs.
• Conduct welding and maintain hydraulic systems.
• Adhere to food and beverage industry standards and GMP guidelines.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge including using a multimeter and wiring 480v motors.
• Experience with conveyor maintenance.
• Understanding of PLCs, VFDs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Food Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is industrial, offering shifts from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with rotating weekend shifts three times a month. The company plans to transition to 12-hour shifts, with a 4-day on, 3-day off schedule in the future.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
