On-Site Specialist III

Job Description Position Purpose: Responsible for providing on site hazardous and non-hazardous services to meet client environmental needs in accordance with state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. This position will work in a supervised and/or independent capacity to successfully, and safely, complete scheduled projects for customers.Responsibilities may include packing, labeling, manifesting, and shipping waste depending on contract type. Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems
- Manage on site customers hazardous and non hazardous waste needs per the contract
- Comply and enforce all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure completion and accuracy of all DOT/RCRA/EPA paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste as required
- Operate and maintain all equipment in a safe manner to insure optimum efficiency and effectiveness to complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
- Knowledge and understanding of contract terms and possess the ability to follow through on assignments
- May help develop and train OS I and II personnel in required task as needed
- Other work related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
- BS in Chemistry or a related science discipline preferred
- Prior work experience in the hazardous waste or related industry preferred

- Time management and organization to handle multiple tasks
- Computer proficiency
- Strong customer focus and orientation
- Health and Safety awareness
- Work independently and on an autonomous basis
Required Certification / Licenses / Training:
- 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
- Ability to obtain a Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- Successful completion of OS II OJT and competency assessment
