Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to neuro and neuro-step-down patients in the PCU, including monitoring and intervening as needed
- Assess neurological status and document changes using NIHSS as required; escalate concerns promptly
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergent situations per protocol
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, discharge planning, and patient education
- Document accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC) and ensure timely, compliant charting
- Ensure patient safety and quality of care, with adherence to unit policies and procedures

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license (Georgia) or appropriate eligibility for practice in the listed location
- NIHSS competency documented in CV packet; must be included to be considered
- Neuro step-down or closely related neuro experience required; strong med/surg applicants with NIHSS, ACLS, and step-down exposure may be considered
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the specialty area
- Education: graduate of an approved RN program
- Candidate profile must include: work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, certification card, Nursys license verification
- No block scheduling; weekends not required (per assignment notes)
- Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
