Technical Project Manager
Kforce has a client seeking a remote Technical Project Manager to join their team. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex technology initiatives, with a strong focus on on-premises to Azure cloud migration programmes across data, platform, and application domains. This role requires a strong self-starter who can independently drive delivery, identify gaps, and take ownership without waiting for direction. The successful candidate will operate across a UK-US distributed team, ensuring delivery alignment, governance, and successful migration outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of on-prem to Azure migration programs
- Develop and manage delivery plans, milestones, and dependencies
- Drive proactive ownership of delivery outcomes and unblock issues
- Coordinate across UK and US stakeholders
- Maintain RAID logs and governance reporting
- Ensure alignment with architecture, security, and compliance
- Create monthly steering committee reports
- Managing the program budget
- Creating detailed go live plans
- Degree level ideally technical; PMP or alternate Project qualification
- Strong experience in on-prem to Azure migration
- 12+ years of Project Management experience
- Experience with migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platform, re-architect)
- Understanding of integration patterns and hybrid cloud
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud migration programmes
- Experience working with global (UK-US) teams
- Experience managing complex dependencies and multiple workstreams
