Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Home Care

Location: New York, NY 10004

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule:

• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 37.5 Hours per Week
• Every Other Weekend Required

Compensation:

• $3,000 – $3,700 per week (based on experience)
• All-inclusive travel package

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a true home care setting , providing skilled, individualized nursing care to patients in their homes across assigned boroughs. This role requires strong clinical judgment, independence, and prior Med/Surg and home health experience. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing a varied daily caseload in a community-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct nursing care to pre- and post-surgical patients in home settings
• Administer medications and perform required treatments per physician orders
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and sterile dressing changes
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to clinical changes or adverse reactions
• Manage and troubleshoot specialized medical equipment as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for ongoing care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and post-care instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records
• Follow all infection control standards, safety protocols, and nursing best practices

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care or post-acute setting
• Recent clinical experience within the last 12 months required
• Prior home care experience is required
• Strong clinical skills in:
  • Physical assessment
  • Medication administration
  • Wound care and infection control
  • IV therapy
  • Post-operative care
  • Patient and family education
  • Telemetry monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Education & Certification Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from an accredited institution
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• AHA ACLS Certification required for Queens-based assignments
• Primary Source Verification required
