Product Manager - Professional HVAC

Overview:

The Product Manager - Professional HVAC will have the primary responsibility of driving the development, launch, and lifecycle management of innovative residential and light commercial HVAC products that meet customer needs and exceed market expectations.

Responsibilities:

Residential and Light Commercial HVAC Product Strategy Leadership:


  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive product strategy for side discharge inverter heat pump systems, ductless HVAC systems, and cutting-edge air and water products, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.

Lifecycle Management:


  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life, implementing effective planning, launch, and training strategies to maximize product success and profitability.

Market Analysis and Positioning:


  • Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, assess competition, and define market positioning for the assigned product categories, guiding product development and commercialization efforts to maintain a competitive edge.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:


  • Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to drive successful product launches, providing clear guidance and ensuring effective communication across departments to meet product goals and timelines.

Innovation and New Product Development:


  • Collaborate and guide the ideation and development of innovative ducted and ductless HVAC products, staying ahead of industry trends and technology advancements, and bringing fresh, market-disruptive solutions to meet the evolving needs of residential and light commercial HVAC customers.

Qualifications:


  • 2+ years experience as product manager or similar role.

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and technologies, with a focus on side discharge inverter heat pump systems, ductless HVAC, and related products.

  • Proven track record in product management, including successful product launches, commercialization, lifecycle management, and strategic planning.

  • Strong analytical and market research skills to assess industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs, driving data-driven decision-making.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless product development and successful market penetration.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% to visit customers and gain market intelligence.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office tools, such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.

  • Well organized, proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently to create effective campaigns.

  • Ability to solve problems and multitask.

  • Ability to work well in groups and take instruction from others.
