Front Desk Receptionist/ Patient Coordinator

- Schedule appointments according to the Appointment Scheduling/ Check-in guidelines, including next year's appointment. Check on-line appointments daily and call back/ text to confirm the appointment day and time, and email IntakeQ paperwork prior to appointment.
- Be efficient in assisting patients fill out their intake forms and overview it with them.
- Pull all insurances prior to patient's appointment to ensure all patients are verified and active. Call patients prior to appointments to communicate any issues (insurance not being active, no materials available, etc.)
- Has complete understanding of Managed Vision Health/ Medical plans and can articulate them to the patient.
- Prior-authorizations are received prior to the appointment and are entered in the patient's chart for billing department to file claim.
- Handles patient's FLOW efficiently. Answers patient's questions, checks patients in and out, collects all payments BEFORE services are rendered, monitor and performs other front desk task as needed.
- Able to handle duties related to Revolution EMR proficiently.
- Collect preliminary testing data as directed utilizing Patient History form and entering it in records.
- Recall patients daily for scheduling annual exam.
