Software engineer
Software Engineer OpenKyber is currently seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer for an opportunity at - Remote Location ! Position Title: Software Engineer Location: Remote Anticipated Start Date: 15/03/2026 Please note this is the target date and it is subject to change. Expected Duration: Contract Job Type: Contract Salary Range: $65-70/HR Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Key responsibilities: Client is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build back-end services that support our portfolio of data-centric clinical and analytic applications. These applications leverage cloud computing, big data, mobile, data science, data warehousing, machine learning using state of the art software development applications and frameworks. Our Software Engineers ensures that these cloud-based micro-services adhere to uptime and accuracy targets, are resilient, and scale as data volumes and traffic increase. They work closely with the data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to develop applications as required to benefit our practice and patients.
Overview: This request is for a Software Engineer in support of Education at Mayo Clinic. The Education Systems technical team within Mayo Clinic IT provides support for a variety of vended and custom-built applications and interfaces in support of Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and other institutional learning initiatives at Mayo Clinic. We are seeking a Software Engineer who will work with the existing technical team to provide development and technical support for Education Systems. This role will include technical triage and support as well as some development and minor enhancements.
Candidates for this role must be experienced in .NET development and vended applications and have a good understanding and experience with systems integration. They must be self-sufficient, must be able to work independently, and must have excellent communication skills
Required qualifications: At least 3-5 years experience with .NET/C#. Experience with database technologies, preferably Azure SQL/MS SQL Server. Experience with APIs. Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps. Experience with integration software including Microsoft Power Automate. Experience with complex system integration both file-based and API-based integrations. Experience with both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications. Experience with Agile Scrum methodology. Experience with SFTP software like Cleo Harmony. Demonstrated ability to multi-task among multiple assigned tasks/projects. Evidence of strong communication and organizational skills. Evidence of strong analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as on a team. Possesses an objective and positive attitude with all tasks and projects. Possesses a high level of project and deliverable consistency through demonstrated repeatable and reliable performance. Evidence of ability to take initiative and proactive on starting tasks and assignments.
Highly preferred qualifications: Experience with Identity Management and Single Sign On. Experience with .NET libraries including NuGet. Experience with AI technologies including Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Copilot Studio. Experience with AI code generation including GitHub Copilot. Experience with Python scripting language. Experience working with student information and learning management systems. Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) packages. Experience with Linux. Experience with front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript libraries.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related field. OR Associate's degree in computer science/engineering or related field with an additional two (2) years of experience as described below: Working knowledge and experience of Software Engineering with a minimum of internships and a minimum of one (1) year of experience. OR Two (2) years of experience coding applications or services in a high-level language (C, C++, Golang, Java, C# etc.).
