AS400 Programmer
Kforce has a client that is seeking an AS400 Programmer in Calhoun, GA. Duties:
- AS400 Programmer will serve as a key member of the programming team to design and develop programs that sustain current and future growth of Company, with a focus on integrating general accounting, financial, and sales reporting functionalities
- Collaborate with project requesters and stakeholders to deliver robust solutions that adhere to defined business rules and requirements, ensuring alignment with accounting, financial, and sales reporting objectives
- Analyze existing processes and propose sustainable, scalable solutions to support growth, particularly in areas related to financial data management and reporting
- As an AS400 Programmer, you will work with the programming team to evaluate proposed project solutions, establish best practices for program development, and ensure accurate handling of accounting and sales data
- Partner with management on specific projects to formulate system solutions that enhance long-term sustainability and scalability, with an emphasis on financial and sales reporting systems
- Degree in Computer Science, Programming, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience in programming on IBM System
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, and sales reporting processes, with the ability to integrate these into software solutions
- Experience in warehousing distribution and manufacturing, preferably in the flooring industry or related environment
- Comprehensive expertise in RPG/IV, RPG-ILE, RPG/Free, CL, DDS, SQL, Embedded SQL, Query/400, DBU, SDA, and i-Series Data Transfer
- Proficiency in additional programming languages such as C++, Visual Basic, or Java is a plus
