We are seeking reliable and flexible Substitute Instructors to join our After School Program team on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments. Substitute Instructors will be responsible for delivering pre-planned educational and recreational activities, ensuring student safety, and supporting the overall goals of the program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate educational and recreational activities as outlined in lesson plans provided by the Lead Teacher.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment.
• Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to program rules and guidelines.
• Take accurate attendance and ensure student safety at all times.
• Support students in completing homework and other academic tasks.
• Communicate effectively with regular staff members to understand daily expectations and any special instructions.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in Education or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and expectations.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
• Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, sometimes with short notice.
