The Food Service Aide will provide essential support in a hospital food service environment, working as part of a large team to ensure efficient meal preparation and delivery. This role is vital to maintaining food safety, sanitation, and inventory standards, supporting smooth kitchen operations during morning shifts and weekends. The aide will operate commercial kitchen equipment, including dishwashing and food preparation machines, contributing to a clean and well-stocked kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items following hospital guidelines and safety standards
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
• Manage inventory and stock supplies to ensure availability
• Perform cleaning duties including waste disposal and equipment maintenance
• Operate dishwashing machines, food prep machines, and commercial kitchen equipment
• Adhere to safety and hygiene compliance at all times
• Support team members in daily food service tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in food service
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
• Familiarity with inventory control processes
• Strong customer service and communication skills
