What will you do? As the Vice President of Finance, you will serve as a key member of the executive team, owning the financial strategy and operations of the organization. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the company’s financial future and enabling scalable growth. You’ll work cross-functionally with department leaders to align financial goals with company priorities, while also building high-performing finance organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions.
  
  
  
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant standards.
  
  
  
  • Present financial results and insights to the board of directors and stakeholders.

  • Lead the budgeting process, including planning, implementation, and analysis.
  
  
  
  • Monitor performance against budgets and suggest corrective actions as needed.

  • Identify and manage financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
  
  
  
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.

  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and investors.
  
  
  
  • Support fundraising efforts, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
  
  
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA or CPA preferred).



• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.



• Experience in logistics & transportation industry is preferred.



• Proven experience in strategic planning and execution.



• Strong knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management.



• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.



• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).



• Demonstrated ability to scale finance functions in a growing organization.



• Experience working with startups.
